Lomonosov Moscow State University is excited to announce its upcoming conference which will address important issues surrounding the management and protection of transboundary water resources. The conference will take place from July 19 to July 24 and will cover a range of topics, including transboundary water and sediment pollution, water and erosion problems in the Balkan region, and the current threats facing Baikal Lake, a World Heritage transboundary catchment.
The conference program is designed to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the key issues facing transboundary water management. On July 19, attendees will arrive and have the opportunity to network with other professionals in the field.
On July 20, there will be a plenary session that will cover transboundary water pollution and Balkan region water problems. This session will be led by experts in the field and will provide an in-depth analysis of these issues. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions with the speakers.
On July 21, there will be a session dedicated to the Baikal Lake catchment. This session will explore the unique challenges facing this region and will provide attendees with an understanding of how to protect and manage this important resource.
To encourage networking and relationship building, July 22-23 will be dedicated to excursions. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the local area and engage with other professionals in a more relaxed setting.
The conference will conclude on July 24 with a departure day. By the end of the conference, attendees will have gained valuable insights into the management and protection of transboundary water resources, and will have made valuable connections with other professionals in the field.

The University of Belgrade was founded by Dositej Obradović in 1808. It started as a college and later became the Higher School in 1863. The Higher School was located in a building donated by Captain Miša Anastasijević, which is still considered one of the most beautiful buildings in Belgrade. Under the University of Belgrade, other universities were also founded in Novi Sad, Niš, Priština, Kragujevac, and Podgorica, Montenegro. Today, the University of Belgrade has 31 faculties, 11 institutes, and other centers. Research and study of hydrology are conducted in various faculties such as Geography, Civil Engineering, Forestry, and Mining and Geology.

The Russian Center for Science and Culture (RCSC) in Belgrade is the oldest Russian cultural center abroad, representing the Federal Agency ROSSOTRUDNICHESTVO in the Republic of Serbia. Its main objective is to boost friendly, cultural, and interethnic ties between Russia and Serbia. The center serves as the spiritual center of the Russian community, and the Serbian public actively participates in its cultural and educational activities, displaying traditional interest in Russian culture, history, and language.
